The law of the People’s Republic of China on Anti-Foreign Sanctions came into force

In the increasingly complex international environment, how to protect the normal operation of enterprises and the safety of overseas investment on the basis of legal compliance has become a difficult problem for Chinese and foreign enterprises. This article will analyze the key provisions in the Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law and put forward suggestions for compliance.

On 10 June 2021, the Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law of the People’s Republic of China (the “Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law”) was promulgated and entered into force to provide legal support for China's countermeasures against foreign sanctions. Although the Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law contains only 16 articles, the new regulatory concept contained has caused great repercussions at home and abroad.
